3-Day Gorilla Trekking & Lake Bunyonyi Tour Kigali

Your adventure begins with a scenic drive from Kigali to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, crossing the Rwanda-Uganda border at Katuna. The journey showcases Rwanda’s rolling hills and Uganda’s lush countryside, with a brief stop in Kabale town for refreshments.

Upon arrival at your lodge near Bwindi, you’ll check in and enjoy lunch. In the afternoon, you can opt for a cultural walk to meet the Batwa Pygmies, learning about their forest traditions. After dinner, you’ll receive a briefing on the next day’s gorilla trekking adventure.

After breakfast, you’ll head to the park headquarters for a trekking briefing. You’ll embark on your gorilla trek, hiking through dense forest to find a habituated gorilla family. You’ll spend one unforgettable hour observing these majestic creatures before returning to the lodge for lunch.

Later, you’ll drive to Lake Bunyonyi, Uganda’s deepest lake, and check in at a lakeside lodge

You’ll wake up to serene lake views and breakfast. You’ll enjoy a relaxing boat cruise, visiting islands like Punishment Island. After check out, you’ll drive back to Kigali, crossing the Uganda-Rwanda border.
