2-Day Bwindi Gorilla Budget Safari

Your driver-guide will pick you up early from your hotel or Kigali International Airport. After a short briefing, you’ll begin the scenic drive northwards, passing through Rwanda’s picturesque countryside toward the Katuna border.

After crossing into Uganda, continue through Kabale’s terraced hills to the southern sector of Bwindi Impenetrable National Park Rushaga arriving by afternoon.

Check in to your comfortable luxury lodge tucked near the edge of the forest. Spend the rest of the day at leisure, soaking in the peaceful surroundings or enjoying optional activities like a community visit or short nature walk. Dinner and overnight at the lodge as you prepare for your gorilla trekking experience.

After an early breakfast, transfer to the park headquarters for a briefing from Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers. You’ll then begin the thrilling trek into Bwindi’s ancient rainforest in search of a habituated mountain gorilla family. The trek can range from 2 to 6 hours depending on the gorillas’ movement, but the reward is an unforgettable hour spent in their presence—an emotional and awe-inspiring encounter.

After your trek, return to the starting point, receive your certificate, and begin the drive back to Kigali. Cross the Katuna border again and arrive in the evening for drop-off at your hotel or the airport, marking the end of your short but powerful safari.
